Los Angeles has been my heart and home for the last 199 days and counting. The city doesn't have the same iconic skylines and high rises as the east coast, but what LA lacks in height, it makes up for in color. Cold turquoise and high whites and rundown pinks and hand-painted blacks behind overgrown gold. And the color of Los Angeles comes directly from its population. From the Hispanic family selling bouquets of roses at the curve of an underpass; from the turbulent teenage graffiti artists; from the homeless guys that share breakfast and jokes on the bleached sidewalk.
Angeleno is an ongoing character design project. Each portrait is a love letter.
